Impulsion Unlimited Dressage Horse Sales and Consignments is owned and Operated by USDF Gold, Silver and Bronze Medalist, Susan Cooper and Jeff Johnson.
Together, we have over 40 years experience training, showing and marketing dressage horses. The purpose of this blog to serve as an information resource for buyers and sellers of dressage horses and to augment our commercial dressage horse sales and consignments site http://impulsionunlimited.com.
Background on our qualifications:
Sue began dressage lessons as a teenager and went straight to the top to get the best help possible. Her education has included such great teachers as Dorothy Morkis, Gina Smith, Pam Goodrich and Carol Lavell. Under the guidance of Carol Lavell,
Sue is a Grand Prix Rider who achieved her USDF gold medal in 1998.
She is proud to say that she has also earned her USDF Bronze, and Silver medals on horses she trained. She is actively competing and most recently competed at Devon in 2007 on Kineada at I1 and PSG and again in 2008 at I1 and PSG on the Lusitano Stallion Quitop. Kineada had to be retired just before going Grand Prix last year due to an injury and we are hopeful that we will be able to find a horse to get her back to Devon this year.
Jeff’s experience with buying and marketing of dressage horses and professional sales consulting spans 20 years. His focus is on understanding needs, and goals and using processes to ensure the best outcomes for a buyer and a seller. He provides information via speaking engagements and writing articles in an effort to improve buying and selling practices of horses in the broader market.
He also runs the business operations side of Impulsion Unlimited, provides sales consulting services, and time permitting rides and shows his horse FDR “Franklin”.
